    Too bad
I listened for just a couple of minutes before having to turn it off. It would be nice to go somewhere today without hearing political commentary. Not even a columbo podcast can be enjoyed without hearing about political opinions or veiled political commentary.

    The best Columbo podcast
I love the rapport between Mack and Ben, and they always pick out the weird quirks and episodes, and also aspects of tone and casting that don’t travel well (whether it’s the tacky erotic 90s, casual sexism of the writers, or just bad stereotyping). They’re a very likeable duo. But ultimately, they have a respect for and love of Columbo, and the repertory company of actors, and that’s what they aim to bring to the podcast. If it’s a great episode, they say why. And if it’s a really bad Columbo episode, they will be equally honest in their assessment. Mack and Ben notice little details, which may or may not go over your head on a first watch. Their humor and insight on plots *and* plot holes are heads above the other Columbo podcasts, which feel flat in comparison. And their analysis of 1970s fashion is a fun twist.

Good conversations, really enjoyed your podcast
I’m really enjoying your podcast! I’m a big fan of Columbo and have listened to other podcasts, but have to say this is my favorite now. I think you just hit on the most interesting points if the episodes, characters and overall entertainment of the series. So glad I found you, wish I had found you earlier! I might not be able to get to all of your episodes now because they might be taken down, but I’ll enjoy whatever I can. Thanks for the fun!!

    I hope they come back
The most coherent and tight Columbo cast. Smart and funny. Also an entertaining meta-Covid cast by accident! Highly recommended

    Very fun!
Always enjoy Columbo and always enjoys people who talk about it! Entertaining, goofy, fashionable and fun! I’m late to their game but I’m liking it!

    Just OK
Listened to only to Episode 1. I found it odd that they did not know the names of the murderer and his co-conspirator. One of the hosts looked them up on IMDB during the podcast. Also, I find it distasteful to hear regular use of the F-word and other crude language...though I know I’m in the minority these days.

    When the going gets tough...
For the better 70s episodes, this Columbo podcast is just okay. But the guys really rise to the occasion for the later episodes. In both the ways they highlight the diamonds in the rough and suffer through the worst bits, they distinguish themselves.

Literally the only thing I listen to on my commute
Absolutely fantastic podcast with a unique lens. I’ve loved Columbo all 37 years of my life and it’s refreshing to be able to revisit it with Mack and Ben. I’d even enjoy longer episodes, honestly, the hosts are wonderful, funny, and seem so fond of the show. If you’re ever in need of a good laugh, do yourself a favor and listen to the episode for Murder Under Glass, which made me actually snort with glee.

Columboys - A Great Columbo Podcast
I listen and subscribe to many podcasts of all kinds (history, science, star trek, politics and more). I recently started re-watching Columbo on DVD. Although I used to catch it occasionally in it's second run (89 onward) I was not a huge fan but now... I love it! It's magic is fueled by 3 things. 1. Peter Falk. 2. The stories and 3. The guest stars. There is so much to take in and that's where Mark & Ben arrive. As soon as I watch an episode I listen to Mark & Ben. They are knowledgeable, entertaining, fun and likeable - all at the same time. This is a must for a successful podcast and this podcast has all of this in spades. I would love to sit in a pub for hours with these guys talking Columbo. Thanks Mark & Ben.

    Well done!
Very bright and funny bring intelligent and amusing banter to Columbo fans. ...Unnecessary profanity detracts.

    Skip this
I managed to listen to the first episode. It was awful! Way too much profanity. Completely unnecessary and it detracts from the production. Plus it reflects poorly on the two hosts, who seem more interested in commenting on fashion trends and societal norms.

    Just one last thing....
A really fun and interesting podcast on one of the greatest detectives in tv history. I’ve always been interested in Colombo, but never quite sat down to get into it. Now this podcasts starting, it feels like getting to watch along with friends. Update: still adore this podcast, just wanted to add that the highlights of the amazing fashion of Columbo is my favorite part of the show. The 70s clothing is absolutely amazing and hearing someone who knows what he's talking about break down whats happening brings me so much joy.

The Hosts' Lack of Knowledge Is Stunning
I must be some sort of Columbo-phile, because this is the fourth Columbo podcast I've listened to, and I'm still not bored. Like The Columbo Podcast before it, hosts Mack and Ben are reviewing the Columbo series in order, and like all the Columbo podcasts except for Just One More Thing, one of the hosts is apparently a fan while the other is a relative neophyte. One element that distinguishes Columboys from its predecessors is the neophyte's obsession with fashion, which is semi-interesting. Also, even though the hosts often go into tangents, the episodes are still much shorter than those of other Columbo podcasts. Unfortunately, the relative brevity of the episodes may stem from both hosts' lack of knowledge about what they're watching, which is borderline annoying. I'm not talking about anything requiring extensive research; I'm talking about things they should have been able to pick up just by watching the show, such as Billy Goldenberg and Gil Mellé scoring "Murder by the Book" and "Death Lends a Hand," respectively, as opposed to Henry Mancini or that Columbo's creators were Richard Levinson and William Link, who I don't think Mack and Ben mention by name for the first three or four podcasts. I believe Mack and Ben even said that "Death Lends a Hand" marked Levinson and Link's first return to Columbo as writers since "Prescription: Murder," despite their having a story credit on the pilot, "Ransom for a Dead Man." In closing, Columboys is shorter than the previous Columbo podcasts, and the hosts have found a unique lens through which to examine the series, but what they glean from the episodes is seriously lacking.

Fun even for a non-Columbo fan
I've never seen a single episode of Columbo, I just enjoy Mack and Ben's rapport! The best bit is when Ben gets excited about the ridiculous 70s costuming. My only complaint is that I wish the episodes were longer!
